Coquina is a stone made up of shells, and was used in the West Indies in the 1600's as a building material for forts. It was a very soft stone, so walls built of Coquina had the advantage of withstanding attacks. Instead of breaking apart when hit by cannonballs, as harder stones would, walls made of coquina would absorb the cannonballs, remaining intact. The Island Siege: Coquina mini-expansion adds 6 more cards and 5 pink coquina building stones to the game. Since there are no pink sides on the attack dice, coquina stones can only be removed from enemy forts by using the red second wave attack! Only 1 Coquina expansion is required when combining sets for up to 4 players.
This is an expansion for Island Siege; you must have a copy of the original game to use this product.
